DESIGN: Semi-structured, in-depth interviews between June and August 2025 with 28 women undergoing IVF or who had completed treatment within the preceding 6 months in China. Data were analysed using reflexive thematic analysis informed by patient-centred care, respectful maternity care and biomedical ethics as complementary conceptual resources. RESULTS: 'Assembly-line IVF' emerged as the overarching interpretive metaphor, capturing organizational and sociocultural forces that converged to shape women's experiences of care. Four interrelated themes highlighted ethical dimensions warranting attention: informed consent was sometimes experienced as administrative compliance, weakening trust and autonomy; age-related medical discourse and limited privacy were perceived as challenging dignity; insufficient recognition of pain and emotional distress was perceived as compromising bodily integrity; and gendered asymmetries were experienced as concentrating treatment-related and emotional labour on women, raising concerns about justice. CONCLUSIONS: Autonomy, dignity, bodily integrity and justice are identified as key ethical dimensions of IVF care in China. The findings challenge assessments focused solely on biomedical outcomes and demonstrate that the ethical quality of care is shaped by individual healthcare professionals and by organizational and sociocultural contexts.","interpretation_basis":null,"fulltext_status":null,"interpretation":null,"fulltext":{"available":false,"status":null,"reason":"尚未抓取全文（未入选、分数未达阈值，或还没跑 fulltext 步骤）","pmcid":null,"license":null,"chars":0,"source":null,"fetched_at":null}}
